Come and join the second part of our tour of the British Galleries at the V&A Museum!
The second part of this discovery tour of the British Galleries at the V&A Museum will be a festival of styles.
Fed by a growing expansion abroad, the fast pace of the Industrial Revolution, the prominence of the landed aristocracy and the rising aspirations of the middle classes, Georgian Britain embraced and led the fashions of the day, from the late the British Baroque to the rococo and neo-classicism, to name but a few.
And then, came the Victorians and a fireworks of eclectic styles that our guide will help us decipher.
Advice to participants:
– Wear ultra-comfortable shoes.
– Check weather forecasts and make sure you have warm and waterproof clothes if necessary. Being cold on a walking tour can spoil the entire experience.
– Do not hesitate to bring a little snack with you (nuts or biscuits) and a flask of your favourite drink.
