February, London: cold, grey and rainy, so let’s put the kettle on, take the Royal Doulton out and make ourselves a nice cuppa! To warm up our winter days, we invite you to discover the world of tea at the V&A.

This exotic beverage full of virtues and medicinal properties arrived in England with the Restoration under the rein of King Charles II. We will follow its adventures throughout the centuries thanks to the beautiful objects in the V&A collection that celebrate the degustation of the national drink.

Advice to participants:

– Wear ultra-comfortable shoes.

– Check weather forecasts and make sure you have warm and waterproof clothes if necessary. Being cold on a walking tour can spoil the entire experience.

– Do not hesitate to bring a little snack with you (nuts or biscuits) and a flask of your favourite drink.
