Explore Shakespeare’s London – follow in the footsteps of the Bard from one bank of the Thames to the other.
This walking tour will explore areas of the City of London and Southwark with connections to Shakespeare’s life and work during the years he lived here between 1590-1613. While little survives from Shakespeare’s time, he is very much alive and well not only in the plays and writings that he left behind, but in the many places we will encounter with strong connections to his professional and personal life.
Advice to participants:
– Wear ultra-comfortable shoes.
– Check weather forecasts and make sure you have warm and waterproof clothes if necessary. Being cold on a walking tour can spoil the entire experience.
– Do not hesitate to bring a little snack with you (nuts or biscuits) and a flask of your favourite drink.
