Meeting Point: Rotherhithe Tube Station.

Take a stroll alongside the Thames and discover a part of London that surprises and delights.

Walking through ancient markets and maritime villages that dot the shoreline, we follow in the footsteps of seafaring adventurers, entrepreneurial merchants, playwrights and poets, outcasts and philanthropists. Learn just how the south side of the river gained its dubious reputation!

There is even a link to the beginnings of a new nation far across the water.

Advice to participants:

– Wear ultra-comfortable shoes.

– Check weather forecasts and make sure you have warm and waterproof clothes if necessary. Being cold on a walking tour can spoil the entire experience.

– Do not hesitate to bring a little snack with you (nuts or biscuits) and a flask of your favourite drink.

What you will improve in :
  • Language : Enrich your vocabulary.
  • Culture : Deepen your knowledge of the South side of the Thames.
