A autumn walk to discover the City’s pocket parks.

On an early autumn day, let’s embark on a historic and sensory walk through the streets of the Square Mile, London’s financial district.

Forget about bonds and shares, and follow our guide along a fragrant route that winds its way among the skyscrapers and the little alleyways of the City. Each garden of the City is a little haven of peace tucked between glass and steel towers and historic buildings, and we invite you to walk those pocket parks together, rain or shine.

Advice to participants:

– Wear ultra-comfortable shoes.

– Check weather forecasts and make sure you have warm and waterproof clothes if necessary. Being cold on a walking tour can spoil the entire experience.

– Do not hesitate to bring a little snack with you (nuts or biscuits) and a flask of your favourite drink.

I am a born and bred Londoner with a passion for history and was naturally drawn to study The Square Miles’s rich stories and share them with others. History became my passion after my father took me to the Tower of London when I was a little girl. I am an official guide for St Paul’s Cathedral and I currently volunteer as a ‘Working’ Friend at the Cathedral once a week.
